Lifestyle Choices
Knowing more about yourself helps you to make decisions that work for you. We have pulled together all of the best information to help you in making these decisions.

Stress Management and Lifestyle: Infertility patients need to know about the impact of lifestyle on infertility. The sooner these lifestyle habits can be addressed, the better the chances for success.

Here is a list of things that you can do to help achieve your goals:
Improve management of the stress in your life. Examine smoking. Examine alcohol use. Examine caffeine intake. Avoid recreational drug use. Review all medications with a physician. Take adequate amounts of vitamin supplements. Maintain moderate exercise [e.g.,walking, swimming, bike riding]. Maintain adequate nutrition. Continue routine gynecologic care. Examine body weight issues.

The goal of our program is to provide you with the skills that you can use to feel physically and psychologically healthier.
Our program allows you to participate in a group with others in a similar situation. Our program provides you with the skills to reduce distress at every stage of treatment. Research shows that participants experience significant decreases in stress-related physical symptoms (insomnia, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, back/neck pain, etc.) and increases in pregnancy rates.

In this program you will learn:
Stress Management and Relaxation Training: Numerous relaxation strategies, stress management skills, mild appropriate exercise, and get support from others who "get it".

Lifestyle Choices: How to change lifestyle habits that can have a negative impact on fertility.

Cognitive Psychology: Cognitive restructuring, which involves identifying and reframing recurrent negative thought patterns, so that what starts as "I will never have a baby", may end up as "I am doing everything I can to try to get pregnant".

Self-Nurturing Skills: Finding ways to take care of yourself emotionally and physically through this or any difficult time.
